It’s about that time! School is out, summer is in full force, and the sun is brightly shining. We all want to sit outside and enjoy the warmth that the rays of the sun bring, but it can also be dangerous without proper protection.
Here are some ways you can protect yourself while still enjoying yourself:
- Limit your time in the sun. The UV rays are the strongest between 10am & 4pm. Take breaks from the sun throughout the day.
- Apply sunscreen frequently. Use at least SPF 15 or higher even when it’s cloudy and reapply if you are in the sun and water for an extended period of time.
- Cover your skin. Wear sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face and neck.
